All patients are human beings who happen to have teeth, not a set of teeth with a human being wrapped around them.

As such, we conduct thorough extraoral and intraoral exams. Extraorally, we check the head and neck area, lymph glands, temporomandibular joints, and lips. Intraorally, the tongue, palate, floor of mouth, tonsillar area, gums and teeth are all thoroughly examined.
