Laughing gas, or Nitrous Oxide, is a safe, effective conscious sedation technique. A small, comfortable mask is placed just over the nose allowing inhalation and exhalation of the odorless gas. This aids in relaxation and comfort during dental therapy. Nitrous Oxide does not induce sleep, and as such patients are able to function normally at the conclusion of an appointment.
